As a coordinator, you support the political leadership and the opposition. You belong to the management staff of the municipal executive office and report to the administrative director. The management staff consists of about 30 employees in various areas of expertise. The municipal executive office is responsible for supporting the municipal council in its work to develop Eskilstuna and to lead and coordinate the municipality's affairs and assignments. Our office is located in the city hall, centrally in Eskilstuna and close to both the train and bus station.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The task is to ensure that the daily practical operations function in the offices of the political leadership and the opposition. You solve practical and administrative issues in everyday life such as purchases, written responses to inquiries, and preparing for municipal council meetings. During major changes, such as at the start of a new mandate period, both the organization and the politicians need your help to make the new arrangements work. You work closely with the political secretaries and support them with contact paths and introductions. In other words, you are the one who receives and ensures that internal and external questions related to politics are resolved.

You organize the political leadership's representation and hosting. This means everything from ensuring that our premises are representative to organizing both large and small recurring events. You take care of high-level visits for the political leadership, such as ambassadorial and ministerial visits. Another part of the job involves being the contact person for the municipality's sister city work and organizing it in collaboration with the municipality's Sister City Delegation. With your genuine interest in Eskilstuna and tailored approach, you put Eskilstuna Municipality high on the map for good hosting.

QUALIFICATIONS

In this position, we will place great emphasis on personal suitability, but we would like you to have a relevant post-secondary education. You are an experienced communicator who finds it easy to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. We appreciate if you have experience working closely with politics. An already established network in Eskilstuna can be advantageous for your assignment.

You can switch between tasks that are very operational in nature to tasks that require the ability to see things from a broader perspective. You appreciate structure and have good organizational skills, but at the same time, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and find solutions to the problems that arise. We expect you to have high integrity, to be a stable and secure person who always strives to act professionally and has a great ability to collaborate. As you can imagine, the work may sometimes require efforts outside of office hours.
